खेतों में न जुताई, न बुवाई – किसान हुए मजबूर
बाराह पंचायत के अंतर्गत आने वाला ग्राम कुशमैदा इन दिनों गंभीर समस्या से जूझ रहा है। यहां नदी किनारे करीब सौ किसानों की उपजाऊ जमीन पिछले दस वर्षों से यूं ही पड़ी हुई है। न तो खेतों में हल चल रहा है और न ही बुवाई हो रही।
ग्रामीण बताते हैं कि इस हालात की सबसे बड़ी वजह है – खुले छोड़े गए मवेशी। जबसे बीजेपी शासनकाल में मवेशियों को बिना रोक-टोक चरने की छूट मिली, तबसे यहां खेती करना नामुमकिन हो गया है।
हर साल करोड़ों का नुकसान, पर कोई सुनवाई नहीं
किसानों का कहना है कि खुले पशु खेतों में बोए गए बीज और फसलों को चर जाते हैं। धान, गेहूं, चना, तिलहन जैसी फसलें टिक ही नहीं पातीं। नतीजा यह होता है कि साल-दर-साल किसानों को लगभग एक करोड़ रुपये का सीधा नुकसान हो रहा है।
ग्रामीणों का आरोप है कि सरकार से लेकर पंचायत तक, कोई भी उनकी सुनने को तैयार नहीं है। सरपंच और अधिकारियों को बार-बार शिकायत की गई, लेकिन समस्या जस की तस बनी हुई है।

कुशमैदा गांव के बुजुर्ग बताते हैं कि एक समय था जब यहां की जमीनें सोना उगलती थीं। उपज इतनी होती थी कि न सिर्फ गांव बल्कि आसपास के इलाके में भी अनाज भेजा जाता था। लेकिन अब हालात यह हैं कि जमीनें बंजर पड़ी हैं और किसान मजदूरी करके गुजारा करने को मजबूर हैं।
युवा पीढ़ी भी खेती से मोहभंग होकर शहरों की ओर पलायन कर रही है। इससे गांव की आर्थिक स्थिति दिन-प्रतिदिन खराब होती जा रही है।
ग्रामीणों की मांग – पशुओं पर नियंत्रण जरूरी
ग्रामवासियों का कहना है कि अगर जल्द ही पशुओं को नियंत्रित करने की व्यवस्था नहीं की गई, तो आने वाले समय में यह जमीनें हमेशा के लिए बर्बाद हो जाएंगी। किसान चाहते हैं कि पशुओं के लिए अलग से गोशाला या बाड़े बनाए जाएं, ताकि खेती दोबारा शुरू की जा सके।
ग्रामीणों की साफ चेतावनी है कि अगर उनकी मांगों को अनसुना किया गया तो वे बड़े आंदोलन के लिए मजबूर होंगे।
